Our Membership will be like a fission-fusion society with fluid recreational groups. Our main type of recreational groups, what we call Pods (Local Community) will be Sub Pods (Smaller Groups within a local community), Super Pods (State), and Mega Pods (Multi-State)

A fission-fusion society is a type of social structure where group membership and size fluctuate over time, with individuals joining and leaving smaller subgroups (fission) and these subgroups merging or splitting (fusion). In a fission-fusion society, the overall community remains relatively stable, but the specific individuals within smaller groups are constantly shifting. Individuals can belong to multiple groups simultaneously, and these can overlap and intersect. Individuals can move in and out of these recreational pods, or their identification with a particular pods can shift based on context or personal experiences. For example, someone might identify as a member of their local sports team, an outdoor adventure group, and a community gardening group, and these affiliations might shift in importance depending on the situation. It recognizes that individuals are not static entities but rather constantly evolving beings who navigate a variety of social contexts and relationships. A fluid recreational group is a group where individual identities and group affiliations are not fixed or static but can change and evolve over time and in different contexts. A key benefit of this is to create dynamic Interactions where Individuals may form temporary groups for various activities. This dynamic nature allows individuals to navigate various cultural, social, and personal influences, leading to a more flexible understanding of self.

Engaging The Community In Fun Recreation

We are fortunate at Dolphin Recreation Team to be able to generate revenue from our events to support our mission — but it does not cover the full costs of doing our work. In order to make up the difference we need your help! In addition to helping offset the administrative costs of Dolphin Recreation Team, these memberships will help us provide all sorts of benefits at Dolphin Recreation Team events and help support Christian recreational and fitness groups, companies, and facilities and allows more opportunities for youth and families in need to experience the fun of recreation. The best part is your membership is helping develop community camaraderie, promoting teamwork, building character and friendships for life and an overall enhanced experience for your community all in a Christian environment.

Dolphin Recreation Team members are the driving force behind our collective efforts to fulfill our mission: to foster and encourage Christian fellowship, positive friendships, sportsmanship, and community camaraderie that will enrich lives through recreation and vision of making sure all kids and families have access to recreational opportunities and learning experiences! When you become a member, you will be joining a group of sports enthused believers who enjoy recreation, understand the importance of making an impact within the community, and making fun memories that will last a lifetime! Dolphin Recreation Team is committed to providing a variety of recreational events throughout the year, including tournaments, fun game days, leagues, and clubs that all help support Christian recreational and fitness groups, companies, and facilities all while enjoying the recreation that you love all in a Christian environment.

By becoming a Dolphin Recreation Team member we will be able to form more leagues, clubs, and fun days to actively bring people together with opportunities for all to play — from the casual recreational participants to the competitive athletes, designed for the community to feel included, be active, and build valuable social and emotional skills. What We Do Together

Recreate and Play

Promote health and wellness through our Dolphin Recreation Team Leagues, fun game days, clubs, and tournaments.
Help identify Christian recreation, leisure, and sports opportunities that already exist in and around the community and provide information to people about the recreation and sporting opportunities available in their local communities with other recreational individuals looking for Christian based activities.
Organized Activities and Events – Pods will organize various sports events, tournaments, social gatherings, outings, and charity initiatives fostering a sense of community and providing opportunities for friendly competition and social interaction further strengthening bonds between members and creating a positive social environment.

Diversify Your Personal and Professional Networks

Build and diversify your networks, meet new people, and welcome newcomers through dozens of social events, service experiences, and the Dolphin Recreation Team Leagues.
Personal and Professional Growth.
Leadership Development: Opportunities to develop and practice leadership skills through various roles within the pod and through networking with other members (Fostering valuable relationships).
Personal Growth: Members can participate in service projects that build confidence, improve communication skills, and enhance teamwork abilities.
